We are getting married!

We met during week 1 freshmen orientation at Clark University on August 22, 2012 and were placed in the same orientation group. Our group was a little quiet...no one really wanted to speak during the orientation sessions except for Josh, and he only wanted to keep talking to me. At first, I was hesitant because I was shy and have a hard time meeting new people, but we always sat next to each other and hit it off. After a few months of hanging out and getting to know each other, we knew we wanted to be together. Who would've thought that we would be getting married 9 years later on the day that we met??

It was the day after the end of the 2019 school year and I wanted to celebrate by taking Eam on a trip. I planned a little getaway for us to go to Newport for the day to drink and eat and end the day off by going to Mohegan Sun. Our friends (Ryan and Angela) were able to get us a room for free there, and they were a key part to my plan. Before getting to the hotel room, I asked Ryan and Angela to dress the room with roses, orchids (her favorite flower), candles, a bottle of champagne, and two champagne glasses that read "Marry Me?" After spending some time in the casino, I took Eam up to the hotel room and when she walked in, she saw the candles and the room all dressed up. I kind of jumped the gun on the proposal, and immediately dropped to one knee before she even got a chance to read the champagne glasses. She saw me on one knee in the mirror, whipped her head around and said "REALLY??" And thankfully, she said yes!
