Years later, Austin reached out to Joshualan on Instagram and then Joshualan, reached out to Austin on Instagram to wish him a happy birthday. Little did they know, that simple message would spark a conversation that would change their lives forever. Their first official date was anything but ordinary.Austin drove five hours to meet Joshualan for a paint and sip in Winston-Salem, NC. It was a magical evening filled with laughter, creativity, and the promise of something special. As they painted and sipped, Joshualan was captivated by Austin's warmth and genuine spirit. Over the next year, Austin became Joshualan’s biggest supporter, driving countless hours to take her on dates while she finished her last year of law school. His dedication and effort never went unnoticed, and she found herself falling deeper for him with each passing moment. After Joshualan graduated, she moved to Charlotte, NC, where their love story continued to blossom. A little less than a year later, Austin made the bold decision to move from Alexandria, VA, back to the Carolinas, further solidifying their commitment to one another. From their very first date, Austin was drawn to Joshualan’s warm spirit and her care for him and others.
