We're getting married!

We didn’t set out to find love—we set out to find God. It began in the most unassuming way: two young hearts showing up on Sundays, attending 2nd & 4th Tuesday nights for Culture Night, and showing up faithfully for Wednesday Bible studies. We were both chasing after the same thing—a deeper relationship with God. And that was what made us notice each other. It wasn’t about appearances or charm—it was about the way our faith shined, in the quiet moments of worship and in the deep conversations that centered around God’s word. One fall evening at church, we were given an assignment: to write down 3–5 things we wanted God to do for us in the next year. Pastor Risher instructed us to pass our papers to the left, to the right, and to the back. As the papers shuffled through our hands, I found myself holding a prayer from someone I hadn’t spoken to much yet—Joshua. I tucked that paper into my Bible and prayed over his requests quietly, often. It felt like a small thing, but something about it felt special. A few weeks later, during a Bible study, Pastor told us to turn to our neighbor and share something with them. As I opened my Bible to take notes, Joshua noticed something—he saw that I had his prayer, his very own written words. It was a small moment, but it felt like God had orchestrated it perfectly. From there, our conversations on Telegram began, and before long, we were sharing not only our thoughts about God but also our lives. Months passed, and what started as a simple friendship turned into something deeper. We prayed together, encouraged each other in our faith, and supported one another’s walk with God. And eventually, Joshua asked me to be his girlfriend—yet even then, we knew it wasn’t just about us; it was about what God had been doing in our hearts all along. And so, the rest is history. From our first prayer shared quietly in my Bible to becoming best friends, and eventually, a couple centered in faith, we have walked this journey together—chasing after God, side by side, and discovering that He had something far greater planned than we ever could have imagined.
