Things To DoThings To Do

Thank you for coming all the way out here to join us for our special day! Here's a list of some places in the area we really like. If you want more recs, you're more than welcome to call/text us! The first five are all on the Lower East side of Manhattan just across the bridge from both of the hotels in Downtown Brooklyn. They're all a ~20 minute subway ride or a ~10-15 minute cab/Uber ride away. The rest are up north a bit from where you're staying closer to the reception venue. Katz and Rubirosa in particular can get a bit packed, but there are a ton of other options around the area if they can't accommodate you. Your best bet for either is to try during non-peak hours.

Katz's DelicatessenKatz's Delicatessen

205 East Houston Street, New York, NY 10002

Iconic pastrami. It's a traditional grab a ticket style deli where they assemble your order in front of you and you grab your own table. As mentioned before, it can get packed, so try to go either earlier in the day or just not in the middle of peak dinner hours and you should be okay (especially on weekdays).

RubirosaRubirosa

235 Mulberry Street, New York, NY 10012

A sitdown pizza place that is well known for its tie dye pizza. This one also can be hard to get a table at, but it's also in Nolita which has a ton of other great Italian options right next door. As with Katz, your best bet is either lunch hours or non-peak dinner hours on weekdays.

VeselkaVeselka

144 2nd Avenue, New York, NY 10003

A sit-down Ukranian restaurant that sells pierogis, borscht, stuffed cabbage and a bunch of other stuff. I usually get the deluxe meat plate. This one usually not too bad of a wait and can accommodate larger tables.

Prince Street PizzaPrince Street Pizza

27 Prince Street, New York, NY 10012

A grab-and-go slice shop known for its pepperoni spicy vodka squares

Gotham Burger Social ClubGotham Burger Social Club

131 Essex Street, New York, NY 10002

This one pretty frequently appears on the list of best burgers in NYC

L'Industrie PizzeriaL'Industrie Pizzeria

254 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, NY 11211

Great pizza! Line can be long, but moves pretty fast.

Paulie Gee's Slice ShopPaulie Gee's Slice Shop

110 Franklin Street, Greenpoint, NY 11222

Another pizza shop, but recommend the squares! Hot honey pepperoni <3

Fedoroff's Roast PorkFedoroff's Roast Pork

178 North 10th Street, Williamsburg, NY 11211

Local-favorite Philly-style sandwiches.

Frankel's Delicatessen & AppetizingFrankel's Delicatessen & Appetizing

631 Manhattan Avenue, Greenpoint, NY 11222

Jewish deli + classic NY breakfast with pastrami, lox, whitefish, and egg sandwiches.

Domino ParkDomino Park

15 River Street, Williamsburg, NY 11249

This is right by the reception venue situated at the site of an old Domino Sugar factory

Brooklyn Bridge ParkBrooklyn Bridge Park

New York, NY 11201

This is where all of those pictures you've probably seen of the Brooklyn Bridge are taken. There are a decent number of good restaurants in the area as well.

Ellis Island National Museum of ImmigrationEllis Island National Museum of Immigration

Ellis island, Jersey City, NJ 07305

To get here, you can either cab or subway to the ferry at Battery Park. On that note, food options around the Battery Park area are a little sparse, so I would plan to eat in a different area before or after.
