FAQs

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, July 16th, so we can have an accurate headcount. There will be no exceptions and entry for reservations made after this date and time.

Question

What is the attire and dress code?

Answer

The dress code is formal. Ladies, please wear a long dress, avoid heels because of the forest grounds, and refrain from wearing white, bright reds, and any blues. Gentlemen, please wear suits. Everyone, please make sure that you bring footwear that you are comfortable with getting dirty as the campgrounds can generate a lot of dust.

Question

How do I travel to the venue?

Answer

Use your navigation app of choice (Google, Apple, Waze, etc.) and make sure that you download an offline map of the area as there will be no cell service at the camp. If possible, carpool with those you know who are also attending the wedding. Select the address that is listed in the "Schedule" section of this wedding website and be sure to select the directions that take you through Pine Grove and Volcano. Avoid directions that take you through Shake Ridge Rd and Fiddletown Rd as you will miss the entrance to the camp! As you approach the start of Barone Rd off of Rams Horn Grade Rd, you will see a gate with a post sign for our wedding which is the entrance to the camp property.

Question

How do I park at the venue?

Answer

When you enter the camp property gates, you will be met by two of our beloved helpers who will be stationed under a canopy in the overflow parking. If there is parking at the entrance of the camp, they will tell you to continue following your app's directions. Once you reach a lot that has the "Golden Valley Camp" sign with a big cross to the left of it, park your car there. If there is no more parking at the entrance, our helpers will tell you to park in the overflow parking. There will be drivers that will shuttle our guests from both parking spots to the ceremony space.

Question

What time should I arrive at the venue's parking?

Answer

Please aim to arrive no later than 2:00 PM. There will be a shuttle system in place to transport everyone from the parking lots to the ceremony space. Please read the FAQ labeled "How do I park at the venue?" for complete details.

Question

How do I get back to my car to depart for home?

Answer

The same drivers who shuttled you to the ceremony space will transport you back to your car. The Bride and Groom will introduce these drivers at the wedding so that you know who they are, and when you are ready to leave, you may find them and request that they take you back to your vehicle. There will be a station where guests can wait for their turn in being transported back to their car.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your kiddos, we have only made accommodations for specific families in our RSVP list. Please check your invite for more details.

Question

Can I bring a date or plus one?

Answer

We can only accommodate those listed on the invitation. Please check your invite for more details.

Question

Is it ok to take pictures with our phones and/or cameras during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that all guests refrain from taking pictures and videos during the ceremony as we have hired a wonderful professional photographer to capture our ceremony and will be sure to share the photos. However, there will be a brief moment during the ceremony where we will pause so that the audience can take photos of the moment before we ask that devices be put away for the rest of the ceremony. Picture taking is especially encouraged during the reception!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be outdoors. Keep in mind it may be on the warmer side so we advise to dress accordingly. Please check the forecast in the week leading up to the event.

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Absolutely! There will be plenty of time to get loose and have a great time on the dance floor!

Question

What time will the reception end?

Answer

The reception will end at 10:30 PM and we will kindly ask for help with tearing down some of the decorations.

Question

Am I allowed to bring gifts not listed in the registry?

Answer

Yes! We will absolutely appreciate any gift that you have on your heart to give, whether big or small! You will find baskets at the wedding where you can drop off your gifts.

Question

Are there accommodations with those who have a physical disability?

Answer

Yes! When you RSVP, there is a question asking how many in your invite party have a physical disability. If this is case, the Bride and Groom will reach out to your party individually to explain details on accessing parking that is closer to the venue and getting transported to the ceremony.
