How They Met

May 2019

Josh and Yvette were introduced by a mutual friend. They texted for a week before deciding to meet in person. Their first date was a late night down to earth conversation followed by a date every day that week. The couple was inseparable soon after.

Proposal

February 23 2020

Josh planned a party at Yvette's grandparents' house, which Yvette did not think anything out of the norm since they often gathered with the family. Josh at the last minute, was "called into work" and Yvette went over to the family gathering alone. Shortly after arriving, Yvette and the family gathered around the tv to watch a slide show about how the family's next vacation should be to Mexico. The slide show suddenly turned into a video with Josh expressing his love for Yvette. Yvette was in shock and pure confusion as to what she was watching. She sat quietly while Josh spoke in the video. Some of her closest friends were also interviewed in the video about Josh and Yvette. The video ended with lots of pictures of the couple. Josh then entered the room and got down on one knee and asked Yvette to marry him. Yvette responded "Yes". Side note: the couple has an inside joke about how both of them were so nervous during the proposal, no one who was present even heard him ask or her respond. They communicated like cavemen.

Married

April 2020

Due to Covid-19, Yvette and Josh decided they didn't want to wait to be husband and wife. They were originally planning on getting married in August of 2020. They went and got their marriage certificate, called a qualified friend to marry them, and got married in their first home's kitchen. They celebrated the day with Texas Roadhouse. They also got each others names tattooed on their ring fingers to show their dedication to one another.

Wedding

May 2022

Yvette and Josh are finally getting to celebrate their wedding with their closest family and friends. In the meantime, they have had a baby, traveled, and moved to Washington state. They are very excited to have this beautiful day after a couple of postponed dates and change of venues. They have plans to celebrate their marriage at an undecided honeymoon destination.
