The beginning of Forever...

Our Master's class ended, and our conversation about our new assigned group shuffled into the hallway. I didn't know it then but this classmate/group partner somehow had me captivated in our conversation. As we reached the end of the hallway we were about to part, when I realized I had forgotten my manners. I offered to walk with my new partner, Samira, to her car. She was kind and accepted, but I would never know how one simple kind act would change my life. The conversation, in the short span from the building to adjacent parking lot, showed me the kind, compassionate, and big hearted person Samira is. This moment would strike up the beginning of my greatest friendship.

I won't lie, I woke up and was not feeling the day. Josh called to cheer me up, and then he suggested the sisters and I dress nicely and get lunch or go shopping in Southlake Town Square. I didn't think much of it. Mehr decided to stay home, but Inoo and I got ready and left. We walked into Starbucks to hydrate before we hit the stores, and they were acting strange. Suddenly, I get the most adorable text from Josh that starts my very own scavenger hunt across Southlake! The Starbucks had my first clue card and I began my walk down memory lane with Inoo by my side (in heels because no one decided to warn me about shoes). At one point, my competitiveness came out and I got ahead of schedule and Inara (who was obviously doubling as a spy) had to distract me from answering the clues right. In the end, I walked up to a secluded fountain surrounded by high walls with my whole family waiting there and Josh in the middle holding a bouquet of roses. I got all the clues organized, and when I turned, he was on one knee. Everything else melted away and I couldn't even speak; I just nodded my head yes! And that's how we began our next adventure together... the engagement and planning a wedding!

This is a good question! As most of y'all know, Samira is in medical school at NYITCOM in Arkansas. What you may not know is that Joshua will also start medical school at NYITCOM in August! After the wedding, we will be starting our journey together in medical school! We have a long road ahead, but soon we will both be Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine!
