Josh messaged Sam on Hinge that morning responding to the two truths and a lie in her bio. He was wrong - of course she can't moonwalk and hates birds, but it sparked a conversation nonetheless. They talked non-stop and finally exchanged phone numbers that weekend, and the rest is history...

Both very nervous, they planned to meet at Dave & Busters for a date. They played games, laughed, had a drink and shared nachos. Sam made Josh drive to ShopRite for pickles from the barrel because he claimed to have never ate a pickle before, and they enjoyed them by the lake and watched the sunset. The night ended with a kiss, but they still fight over who made the first move.

Sam and Josh started hanging out all of the time. They went on many dates, from dinner and a movie to mini golf. One day, they planned to meet at the Chinese food buffet and Josh pulled out a tiny piece of paper from his pocket. Clearly nervous, he recited a rap (J-Stud style) in which he asked Sam to be his girlfriend. For the next 4 years they never left each others sides, traveled to new places, made memories and moved into their first home in December 2023.

Sam came home from a long day at work, not expecting anything. She walked in the house to her favorite instrumental Taylor Swift songs playing, string lights and rose petals leading to a nervous Josh waiting to pop the question. She said yes! and they cried, called their friends and families and went to dinner to celebrate their engagement.
