It’s crazy how, in just a few years, people who were once strangers became my siblings in Christ, then my close friends. And now, I have the honor of standing by them on their big day. I met Josh when I joined the campus ministry, and we connected over jam sessions in his dorm. That led to playing on the same worship team at campus retreats, which turned into a great friendship and eventually being bandmates. Beyond the music, Josh has been an incredible mentor to me, always offering wisdom and encouragement. And honestly, he was the matchmaker for my own relationship—so I owe him big time! I met Josh in college during the summer bridge program, or sleep deprivation camp. I was like, "What? He's a gamer? He's learning guitar? He's a J Cole and childish Gambino fan?" I thought to myself, "he just like me for real!" What really had me was when he hung up his poster in our college dorm room. Seconds later, I pulled out the exact same astronomy poster. That's when I knew we'd be life long friends. (If you ask me in person, I'll say I took my poster out first)
