One word, FINALLY!

Her side: We met in 7th grade. I had the biggest crush on him and he was none the wiser. He's mentioned in every journal I own from 2004-2018. My middle school friends and I made up code names for him so that we could talk about him secretly! I was drawn to the depths of his soul, even at a young age. There was something about his silence that spoke volumes and his eyes that kept me pondering. He has an old soul. I loved that old soul. We would sit for hours at our parents houses talking about life or sit in silence, enjoying time together. We took walks and occasionally saw a movie together. We never dated anyone else. We always knew. We were in denial until we turned 24. That’s when this friendship took a romantic turn and it has been a wild ride ever since. My best friend was my boyfriend. That took some getting used to! Now he’s my fiancé and I’m more than pleased. Soon he’ll be my husband and I don’t know what to say but thank you Lord for a loving, caring, gentle, saved, man!! His side: Throughout a 14-year friendship Makeda has remained my best friend. She has grown into the woman that I’m very proud to say that I love! I cannot say that I saw this coming, but I was hoping and praying for this and I have already received much more than I've asked for. Despite our dangerous lows and blissful highs we've maintained a steady focus on Christ in our relationship. Before a Christ Centered relationship our “meant to be” future wasn’t going to happen. Our focus on Christ has maturated us individually and as a couple. I talk about Christ because that’s what she and I talk about. Our focus isn’t directly set on each other but on the Christ that is in each other. Makeda is a wonder woman! An excellent girlfriend and will be an unapparelled wife! Makeda with Christ is even better! I love Makeda and have for many years before we even dated. Her laughter, a beautiful smile, a God fearing attitude and unconditional love are a few reasons why I love her!
