We're so excited to celebrate with you!

We were introduced to each other by our best friends on a yearly snowboarding trip. We didn't think much of it but as the weekend went on we realized how much we enjoyed each others company. Josh got Kara's number with the classic pick up line "there's something wrong with my phone...your number isn't in it." Their first date was at the very classy "Cook Out" restaurant, where Kara drank most of Josh's milkshake even after saying "she wasn't hungry." but our story was just beginning...

They say distance makes the heart grow fonder and we couldn't agree more. The first year of our relationship Josh was in Charleston, SC and Kara was in Athens, GA. We visited each other most weekends, either meeting in the middle or Josh driving down to GA. The second year Josh was sent to San Diego, CA and Kara remained in Athens, GA. The couple also had to go through two 9 month deployments where Josh was out to sea. In 2018 Kara and Josh finally moved into their first apartment together in San Diego, CA, where Josh quickly realized what it was like to live with a night shift nurse.

Of course Josh had to propose somewhere sentimental...a snowboarding trip but this time in Big Bear, California. The first thing Kara asked was "where were you keeping the ring and how did you not lose it?!" But then she said "YAS!"
