Things To Do

Here are some of our favorite things to do in Oklahoma! We would love to share them with you, especially if you are visiting from out of state!
Bricktown

Bricktown

200 Bass Pro Dr, Oklahoma City, OK 73104

We always park at Bass Pro and walk along the river walk. There are awesome land run monument sculptures to see and lots of restaurants as well as a mini golf and bowling!

Commonplace Books

Commonplace Books

1325 North Walker Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73103

We went here on our first date! It is a lovely book store to browse, with plenty of space to sit and read. Also, it's connected to a coffee shop!

Scissortail Park

Scissortail Park

300 Southwest 7th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73109

Scissortail Park is downtown a short walk from the Myriad Gardens. It has beautiful walking paths, a playground, a splash pad, great picnic spots, and pickleball courts.

Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store

Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store

4735 North Kickapoo Avenue, Shawnee, OK 74804

Braums is an Oklahoma treat. It also happens to be Josh's favorite restaurant. Justus' favorite ice-cream flavor is cappuccino chunky chocolate, and Josh's is cookie dough.

The Silos Climbing

The Silos Climbing

200 Southeast 4th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73129

If you have time to spend a day adventuring in downtown OKC, the Silos are an excellent place to try out indoor (and some outdoor) rock climbing!

Science Museum Oklahoma

Science Museum Oklahoma

2020 Remington Place, Oklahoma City, OK 73111

The Science Museum is a really cool interactive museum for kids and adults to learn about science while playing and having fun!

Oklahoma City Zoo

Oklahoma City Zoo

2000 Remington Place, Oklahoma City, OK 73111

The OKC Zoo is really impressive. Justus loves going in the lorikeet cage and the bird enclosure in the Oklahoma Trails section.

Myriad Botanical Gardens

Myriad Botanical Gardens

301 West Reno Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73102

The Myriad gardens downtown are a beautiful place to go for a walk or a picnic. They also have a super fun kids area. There is normally an art exhibit in the main building, and you can pay to visit the Crystal Bridge greenhouse.

National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum

National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum

1700 Northeast 63rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73111

This museum has art and artifacts from the west, an interactive kids area, and outdoor walking paths.
