We don’t remember the exact first time we met—only that it feels like we’ve known each other for most of our lives. Josh’s dad and Jordan’s uncle, Randy, were friends during their Ball State days, but lost touch after graduating. Years later, they unexpectedly reconnected while coaching little league baseball and quickly discovered just how connected their lives had become in the meantime. They had sons the same age, lived in the same neighborhood, and before long, our families naturally became part of each other’s lives—spending holidays together and growing into close family friends. At that point, we only knew each other through that shared family circle. Everything started to change when Jordan’s brother, Jeffrey, chose to attend Warren Central for high school and immediately became best friends with Josh. That friendship meant Josh was suddenly around much more often—not just for holidays and family gatherings, but in everyday life too. As our worlds overlapped more, we naturally formed a friendship of our own. Jordan’s friends even joked that she talked to Josh more than anyone else, but she always brushed it off, trying to convince herself—unsuccessfully—that he was nothing more than "her brother’s best friend." Over time, though, what began as familiarity quietly grew into something deeper, until we finally realized we weren’t just friends anymore. What started as two families brought together by coincidence slowly became something neither of us could have planned. Years of friendship, shared memories, and being woven into each other’s lives led us right here. A lot of people say they feel like they’ve known their person forever—but in our case, we truly have. Our story began long before we ever realized it was becoming a love story. We feel incredibly grateful for the foundation we’ve shared from the very beginning—the laughter, the history, little league baseball, and the people who brought us together without even knowing it. Now, we’re so excited to take this next step and begin a new chapter not just as part of the same story, but as each other’s forever.
