The very first conversation we ever had was to the tune of "How is that search for Neverland going?" In response to Josh's profile, which stated that he was on the neverending search for Neverland. He hadn't found it yet, but as the years have moved on, he has grown into someone with even the slightest roots, instead of wings. This seems like a place that we can call home for the rest of our lives.
In the new age of technology, meeting new people is tricky. We had both moved to a new area within the previous years, and were looking for a way to meet new people. Lots of trials eventually led us to one another. We set up a first date, in which we met at a local grocery store, shopped for dinner, and proceeded into Pisgah National Forest for a secluded picnic, with a rushing waterfall view. The date went so well, we continued the night sipping craft beer at The Thirsty Monk. Finally, we made our way home--and the rest is history. A Tinder date gone right? Unheard of! :)
