Best Man
We've been best friends since Hurricane Wilma hit South Florida in October of 2005. We were neighbors growing up and when Joel left for the army and I moved to Saint Augustine for college we stayed in touch. Joel would often crash in my dorm or apartment when he had to report as he was stationed 30 minutes away from Flagler College! We've shared so many memories and experiences together while growing up, I couldn't imagine anyone else as my best man!
Groomsman
Alex and Hope met at a snow day party on Greek Court and have been friends ever since. Hope considers Alex her unofficial little brother and I could not think of a better person to stand next to us on this special day. Hope was recently a groomswoman in Alex's own wedding to his wife, Caroline, so if you see the couple around the party make sure you wish them Congratulations!
Groomsman
We met back in 2016 when I was bartending at the Irish pub in Saint Augustine. Travis is a native of Waynesville, North Carolina. His parents got married right here at Lake Junaluska! Travis is our token Pirate friend who owns and lives on his own sailboat (even though he ends up spending most nights crashing on our couch instead). Most importantly Travis is an alumn of the University of North Carolina... whats not to like!?
Groomsman
Met Josh while working at the Irish pub. Josh served our country in the Marine Corps and we are all grateful for his service. Josh is an amazing handyman, friend, and an even better dad to an adorable little girl.
Groomsman
I've known Ty my whole life. Ty's dad and my dad were best friends and joined the army together. Ty is one of the best dads I know to one of the coolest kids I know, Silas. Ty was also raised the right way and a Tar Heel fan so whats not to like?
Groomsman
Only the funniest guy I know! We met in high school as apart of the marching band. Ryan and I shared countless memories and shared experiences as apart of the band. We even were in a few classes together including sophomore geometry with Ms.Calean and the unfortunate passing of our good friend Blake. Ryan left for USF and FSU but we have kept in touch and Im so glad he is a groomsman in my wedding!
Bridesmaid
I met Jenn my sophomore year of college at the sorority house. We have spent many days and nights (and sometimes all night) together at the library in school in undergrad and studying together in post grad programs as well. One of my favorite things about Jenn is her amazing sense of humor and honesty. She is always driven to fight for what is right with her job as a paralegal, something that I hope to have in common with her for the rest of my life. We both have run a few half marathons, and one of our favorite ones to run together is in High Point at the best beer festival for North Carolina breweries, the NC Beerfest. We both have a love for craft breweries, dogs and a good murder mystery.
Bridesmaid
I have known Mary Margret (affectionately known as Eminem) since high school, we both went to Needham B. Broughton in Raleigh, and were both in the IB program. We reconnected in college in an intro Statistics Class, and we studied german together in undergrad. Mary Margret has always been a simultaneous voice of reason and adventure, talking me down when life was chaotic and traveling with me to DC and all the way down to Key West. She is truly beautiful inside and out. We both love to run, hike, and travel and hopefully will one day complete an international backpacking trip someday soon (after Covid).
Bridesmaid
I have known Elizabeth since our 20th Century Topics class during the IB program in high school. Elizabeth is one of the smartest and kindest people I know, and has always been there for me through the thick and thin. We traded off traveling from Georgia to the Carolinas and vise versa to visit each other during school and beyond. I will always admire her strength and independence. We both love hiking, deep conversations, and have an appreciation for DIY home projects. Despite my terrible taste in nicknames, I haven't managed to scare her off yet!
Bridesmaid
Kylyn and I were sorority sisters in college, but since she was studying abroad we did not get a chance to hang out much during school. However, she and I both ended up living in Hilton Head while I was in DPT school and reconnect on the island. She is currently kicking butt in Law School and has the cutest golden retriever puppy I have ever met. I love her ambition and confidence, and she always hypes me up when I am feeling down. She and I both have a love for good whiskey, chasing sunsets, and being by the water. International travel is also one of our passions, and I hope we get to go overseas together some day once the pandemic is under control.
Bridesmaid
Lauren and I met at church in Bluffton, South Carolina and became quick friends. Lauren and I were both active in the young adults group at LCC and had a mutual love of coffee, Jesus, Ohio, and the island life. From church retreats to running around downtown Orlando, I always have an amazing time with Lauren. She is so loving and brave and inspires me to follow my dreams and take the path(or beach) less traveled. I had the honor of being a bridesmaid in her wedding earlier this year, and was so excited that she was able to share my special day as well
Bridesmaid
Lizzie is my little sister. We've been together for 22 years, and while we may have started off rocky with your normal sibling rivalry, she and I have become friends as we've gotten older. She can work magic with makeup and is always so creative. She and I both love reading, cuddling with our dogs, and a disney movie marathon.
Ring Bearer
Easton is son to Ashley and Channing Oester, and is one of Joshuas best friends to run around our street , Onyx North, with at the end of the day. He is also in love with our dog, Huckleberry and we can't wait to see the two of them in their wedding best!
Flower Dog
Huckleberry is ready to strut his stuff down the aisle as our Flower Dog! He will be accepting peanut butter treats as payment along with pets on his way down the aisle.
