With the two of us living in two totally different states, the most FAQ we receive is “how did y’all meet?” The story is actually quite bizzare and the furthest thing from a romantic love story. So I, Josh, matched with one of Holly’s best friends on Tinder (such a loser, i know) who is coincidentally also one of Holly’s bridesmaids (I’ll keep her anonymous.) She and I chatted a time or two but obviously nothing ever serious. However, I am forever grateful for her because without that tinder match, Holly and I would haver never met and to this day would still not know one another. It all started on Holly’s 22nd birthday, January 5, 2018. She and her friend were coming to Memphis to celebrate and knowing how close I am to Memphis, her friend recommeded Holly to ‘hit me up’ to have a good time. I, however, had other plans that night, so what could have been right? Fortunately, Holly was persistent and added me on Facebook and Snapchat and from there we talked pretty regularly. With Holly residing in Jonesboro and myself residing in Southaven, I never thought much of the situation intensifying into what we are now, I just thought she and I would be “social media friends.” We reached what I felt was a climax of the relationship since neither of us did not seem to care to travel and meet one another, so there was a two week hiatus of us talking. We did begin to talk again, this time being on a more serious basis. Our life changed forever on 3/3/18 because that was when we first physically met one another. I showed up nervous and intoxicated while Holly was nervous but was advised not to drink when we met.She and I had a good first date, accompanied by the third wheel himself, Josh Carter. Coincidentally, we made it a double date with Holly’s friend that I matched with on tinder, and it somehow didn’t seem awkward because Holly and I had such a great time together. From that night up into this day, we have been happily together, and I can not wait to marry her on 5/16/20.
