Hazel and Josh met at Alacca Bible Camp in 2020 at 16 and both worked at camp for years, eventually becoming close friends outside of camp. Summer of 2024, Josh and Hazel began dating then went long-distance. Josh proposed in August of 2025. Josh works drilling water wells in Idaho, and Hazel is a senior at Cal Poly. Their plan is to live in Caldwell after the wedding.
