We met in a way only God could have orchestrated—unexpected and beautifully unplanned. Our paths crossed at a church in the city of Pittsburgh, during a season when neither of us were actively searching for a relationship. We were simply focused on our walks with the Lord. It began as a casual coffee meet-up—with friends—meant to be nothing more than fellowship. My only intention that day was to enjoy coffee, open my Bible, and spend time with like-minded believers. Romance wasn’t even on my radar. Little did I know that one simple, group coffee and Bible study hangout would quietly plant the seed for something far greater. A week later, that first initial group hangout turned into our first official date. We went for coffee again, opened our Bibles, and ended up reading Scripture and talking for nearly three hours. We talked about everything—faith, life, purpose—and time seemed to stand still. That first date quickly led into weeks of being inseparable, growing closer through conversation, prayer, and friendship. We spent about three months intentionally getting to know one another as friends before Josh asked me to be his girlfriend on December 12, 2024—a date that holds special meaning, as it’s also my parents’ anniversary. Even then, God was weaving purpose into every detail. Over the next year, to sum it up quite broadly, our relationship was filled with lots of memories, laughter, tears, growth, challenges, and victories. Then, on that same December date in 2025, we visited our soon-to-be wedding venue—another sweet reminder of God’s perfect timing and faithfulness. Looking back, every step of our journey points back to Him. Having God at the center of our lives individually was crucial. If He had not been the Shepherd of each of our hearts, we would not be standing where we are today. We give God all the honor and all the glory for the love story He has brought to fruition between us. As we step into marriage, we look forward with joy and trust, knowing the same God who wrote our beginning will continue to guide our future :)
