**Joshua's Version** It's Spring 2012, and Joshua just landed his dream job selling overpriced denim in downtown San Francisco. Little did he know that working on the women's sales floor was a quiet little Latina in an Iron Maiden band shirt who would change his life forever. Over the next several months, Joshua and Esperanza slowly became friends; she kept asking him how a new pair of jeans looked on her and he kept pretending he knew cool music to impress her. However, it wasn't until Esperanza transferred to the cashier team and the two worked the overnight Black-Friday shift, bonding in the crucible of unbridled consumerism, that Joshua realized there could be something here. However, the two were both seeing other people at the time and so remained friends (who occasionally engaged in heavy flirting). It wasn't until March 2013 that the stars finally aligned. Newly single, and after a night out with their friends, Joshua confessed his feelings for Esperanza outside of a small bar in San Francisco's Outer Richmond district. Beneath the street lights of a small park behind a CVS, the two kissed and the rest is history. **Esperanza's Version** Joshua walked into the breakroom at Levi's one day and I thought he was cute, but a friend said he was seeing someone so not to bother. We worked together and I remember thinking "Why does this guy think he wears a size large shirt?" We started to hangout through co-workers and eventually, whenever we had the closing shift together, he would ask if I wanted to grab a drink. I slowly realized that he wasn't as dumb as he pretended, he just liked to make dumb jokes, and he was actually smart, and charming and funny. We started dating and a few months later he bullied me into being his date at his brother's wedding and the rest is history.
