What Is A Cookie Table?
Answer
A Cookie Table is a Pittsburgh tradition where the family and friends of the Bride & Groom bake cookies and bring them to the wedding reception to be enjoyed by everyone at the celebration. A large table full of a variety of home baked cookies sits near the rest of the food and the guests are welcome to help themselves throughout the evening! Traditionally, the types of cookies have been defined by the historic immigrant communities of Pittsburgh, and as such, staples such as ladylocks, kolaczki, pizzelles, pesche con crema, peanut butter blossoms, nut rolls, and those little peanut butter cookies with hershey kisses on top are staples of the scene, but in modern times as these we encourage everyone to bake their own cookie as their heart desires. That's fine, whatever, we didn't want you there anyway. In all sincerity, we 1000% understand any variety of reasons for which you can't or won't be able to make it to our wedding. The world is a wild place. But it's all good, we've got you covered. We've set up a zoom page for the ceremony and will be going live shortly before the ceremony starts.
