Liz and Josh met in May of 2023, while they were both missionaries at Annunciation Heights. Liz was on her way out from camp, and Josh was entering into his first summer. The chemistry was pretty instantaneous, though the dating fast kept them from starting a relationship. At the end of that summer, they ~reluctantly~ parted ways as friends as Liz went on to finish college and Josh continued his missionary year at AH. This timeframe consisted of spontaneous phone calls and letter writing, and Liz giving Josh a few "not right now" answers to his valiant pursuits. Flash forward to May 2025, Liz moved back to Colorado and reached out to Josh Legg to see if the rumors were true that he was also moving back. The reconnection led to a deepening of friendship and hours spent on the phone throughout the summer. Josh flew to CO in August 2025 to take Liz on a real date (or a few ;) and they started officially dating. Once Josh moved to CO in October, the relationship continued to grow in depth and the discernment of marriage was met with an abundance of peace. Following a trip to Wisconsin in January in which Josh talked to Chris Murphy and asked for his blessing (Liz had suspicions but didn't want to get her hopes up), Josh engineered a plan to execute his dream of making Liz's dreams become a reality. On January 18th, 2026, Josh surprised Liz at the top of Lily Mountain by getting down on one knee. It was an epic day, met by close friends and good food at the place that started it all - Annunciation Heights.
