Long before anyone understood what God was writing, he placed Joshua and Danielle in the same room in 2017, at a college fashion show rehearsal—quietly beginning a story only he could orchestrate. What started as a shared moment quickly became a deeper connection rooted in their mutual love for God, music, and art. From the very beginning, their bond was effortless, two creatives discovering how beautifully their worlds aligned. During those early years, their relationship unfolded in pieces. They walked similar paths, grew in their individual callings, and became involved in Greek life, learning discipline, service, and leadership. Though they shared moments of laughter, and glimmers of what would one day be, their story was never rushed. God was teaching them patience—how to grow separately before growing together, and how to trust him. Time passed, but the thread between them never broke. Danielle continued to show up supporting Joshua at his art shows year after year while life gently pulled them forward. Their connection lingered, familiar and faithful, yet unfinished. The love was always there, quietly waiting for the right season. That season arrived in June 2024. On Juneteenth to be exact, one simple date reignited what had always been there. This time, there was no confusion. Both were committed to their walk with Christ, and both were finally ready. What once felt unfinished now felt ordained. In October, they stepped fully into their relationship, choosing each other with intention and prayer. Then, in a moment that reflected Joshua’s heart and creativity, surrounded by family and friends, Danielle was invited to reveal the final piece of art , at an event at which she had been to, many times before, but never at this capacity. Joshua’s yearly art show. As the canvas turned, the words appeared—“Will you marry me?”—a beautiful reminder that love itself is God’s greatest masterpiece. Now, with grateful hearts and unwavering faith, Joshua and Danielle look ahead to forever, trusting the same God who brought them together to guide every step ahead. #VoyageToBrown
