I would like to say that Josh is the McDreamy to my Meredith, but our first encounter did not give me heart eyes. Josh came in as the new travel nurse on my unit. He came on strong and acted like a “know it all.” That irked me! Fast forward a couple weeks and the guy running around passing medications late (this is an ongoing joke, Josh had terrible medsurg time management), won me over with a Dr Pepper and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups with a note saying “have a good shift!” Josh shot his shot then the flirting began! I quickly learned that Josh had the most genuine heart when it came to caring for his patients and that continued to draw me towards him. When I found out he had a golden retriever, it was end game! Brody won my heart and I became his favorite human. Our summer fling became official when Josh asked me to be his girlfriend, which broke his number one travel rule: don’t date a staff nurse while on assignment.

We moved in together and bought a puppy (my bestie Brookie). We then decided to travel together with our pups! Best decision ever! We got to see so many new places and learn so many new things! After traveling for about 2.5 years, we made our way back home to welcome the most precious baby girl into our lives. Our smiley girl is our best adventure yet!
