Funny story. Sort of. It was the year of Covid. In September of 2020 we crossed paths on bumble. For those of you who are not familiar with bumble. It’s a dating app. I was on it cause I was like hey! Why not? Bars aren’t open and nearly everything was shut down. And honestly I was on it to just pass time and see what was out there. And lone behold I come across this stud with a handsome smile and a beard. I was like oh! He’s cute, and the part that really pulled me in, he was holding a jack hammer with his neon work shirt on with a helmet (hard hat)😆 I was like daaang he’s cute! Our first date was interesting. After we both found out that we both had kids the same age, We were both like what?! It was pretty cool. Back to first date…he showed up to my parents house knocked on the front door and my parents peeked their head out towards the door and are like hello? Josh goes, hi I’m here to pick up chenelle…mind you, I’m in the bedroom getting ready. I was like what the heck!? I didn’t know he was going to walk up to the front door and meet my parents on our first date 😅. Hahaha but my parents ended up inviting him into the house and talking with him and I was just like alrighty then! Hi Josh! 😂 we went to Mr. Mojitos, had a nice lunch. Later that day we went over to a friends house to carve pumpkins with the kids and friends. There wasn’t a doubt in my mind that I knew that he was most likely going to be it, my last boyfriend and hopefully my future husband. 1/2021 Bella had gotten Covid. I was freaking out. We had been at Josh’s house all weekend. So we stayed and quarantined there…and he didn’t mind. We were the for about 3 weeks straight. Just Bella and I and him and Kayden. Eventually Bella and I left and it was then we realized that we wanted to be together all the time. Like actually have Bella and I move in with him. The rest is history and we’ve been together ever since. He’s literally my best friend and future husband all in one.

It was the year of Covid. I decided to make a profile on the dating app bumble. At first it was a way to pass time. Until I came across Chenelle’s profile, that smile, those eyes. I was immediately attracted to her. The feeling was mutual, because a day or so later she messaged me and we began texting thru the app. I eventually manned up and asked for her number. We began texting regularly and talking every night. I finally asked her out on a date, she was smitten by the idea. Me being the gentleman that I am, arrived a few minutes early to pick her up at her parents house. I remember knocking on the door and Chenelle’s mom answered the door. I introduced my self and let her mom know I was there to take Chenelle out on a date. Chenelle’s mom immediately invited me in the house where I was greeted by Chenelle’s dad Jerry and my bride to be Chenelle. I took her to Mr. Mojito. Things went great we decided to end the evening carving pumpkins with both of our children. Chenelle and I continued talking and texting daily eventually Chenelle and Bella would come over every weekend, so we could all hang out. It was when Bella tested positive for Covid that really changed our lives. I told Chenelle they could quarantine at my house since all four of us have been around each other. Two weeks of quarantine turned into the best month and a half quarantine that i have ever had. Coming home every evening having Chenelle there was the best. Eventually Bella was cleared to go back to school and Chenelle had to return to work. Playing house was coming to an end. It sucked. It took less than a week of Chenelle not being around for me to realize I don’t ever want things to be like this. I asked her to move in with me and to be my girlfriend. Everything was great. I was living/sharing my life with my best friend. We took trips and vacations made memories together the two of us and the four of us. Fast forward to January of 2023, our gender reveal party. It was the perfect day to do it, everyone that Chenelle loved and cared about was at our house. I decided today is the day, today I will ask my best friend, the person I can’t live without, my other half to marry me, to spend the rest of our lives together. And here we are sharing our story with all you people. I hope to bring a tear to your eye and a smile to your face.
