Cocktail Attire recommended. Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks. Ladies: Please check the weather! High heels should be fine this time of year but be advised the ceremony is on a grass field and there is a short walk, paved walk on slight incline to the reception area. Also, in the evening, temperatures may drop into the 60s and a light cover-up is suggested. For the more adventurous... since our wedding starts in the day and goes into the evening, we invite you to consider that outfit from your closet that is *you*. Here are the guidelines: Want to dress up for the evening? Go Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Want to dress down for the day? Garden Attire: Wear sundresses, floral prints, suits in lighter hues, and fun hats and fascinators.
Sanders Estate is situated on 37 walkable acres, decked out in plants and trees galore. Our ceremony will be held at the upper meadow at the pergola. Our reception is at the lower meadow under a 40′ x 60′, concrete-floored canopy which overlooks a 2-acre lawn surrounding a serene rose pond with fountain.
This is an open bar event. For guests arriving prior to the ceremony, Prosecco and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages are available. Full bar, with his and her cocktails, begin after the ceremony.
Guest parking is available on-site. The ceremony is a few minutes walk from the lot or you may catch a ride on a golf-cart shuttle that runs every few minutes. The reception is adjacent to the parking lot.
We are lucky to have all the items we need. For those feeling especially generous, our registry is available at our wedding website. If you would like to bring a gift on our wedding day, we would love to receive items that help us capture the beginning of our life together. Some items that come to mind are words of wisdom, family recipes, cards, and photographs.
