To start at the beginning we need to go all the way back, back to Highschool. We rode the same bus going to school, and were the first two on every morning. We would sit across from eachother, headphones in, day after day, until one time, Josh broke the ice and asked me to sit with him. That gesture lead to us dating for a while, we were young, infatuated, in love, careless, emotionally driven and everything else you are when you’re a teenager. I remember one day when we went to the beach, I found a large, perfectly intact snail shell, and I painted it for him, the word “Forever…” written on the front. Yet when he graduated, life took us in separate directions. Fast forward, ten years later. We’ve lived and grown and experienced so much in that time. Just as before, a simple icebreaker. Josh sent me friend request on Facebook. We got to talking and all the chemistry we had, never left. It was as if no time at all had passed. It was like traveling for years and finally coming home. It was the most natural thing in the world. Oh and the shell I painted him? He kept after all this time, perfectly intact. Ready to make good on our promise of forever.
