FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

January 17, 2026.

Question

How does the payment for my room work?

Answer

To secure your room you will make a $50 deposit. $25 of it is refundable if you have to cancel for some reason. The rest of the payments you make can be in any amount at any time. The full payment needs to be completed 1 month prior to when you leave for the trip.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear on your invite as well as when you RSVP on the website.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Beach Formal (think elegant yet relaxed) Ladies: Maxi, mid-length, or cocktail dresses in light, breathable fabrics. Gentlemen: Lightweight suits or dress pants with a button-down or linen shirt. Ties optional.

Question

Passports

Answer

You must have a valid passport to get into Mexico. Please double-check that your passport does not expire within 6 months of travel (October 2026). They will not let you travel if so. It can take up to 3 months for a new passport to arrive. Please plan accordingly. Here is the link to apply for a new passport: https://www.usa.gov/passport

Question

Welcome Party

Answer

We plan on hosting a welcome party in the evening on Thursday, April 30. It will be on a catamaran from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. We ask that guests be ready at 4 pm for transportation to the dock. The boat is open bar but will not have food, so make sure to eat before or have a late lunch. The event is optional. We ask that you RSVP to it separately from the ceremony so we have an accurate headcount and accurate pricing for dock fees and transportation.

Question

Airport shuttle

Answer

When booking your room you can include private round-trip transportation through our travel agent. If you wish to book transportation on your own, you are more than welcome to do so as well. It is a 20-minute drive from the airport.

Question

How long can I stay at the resort?

Answer

There is a 3-night minimum stay. You can stay as long as you wish before or after our wedding events.

Question

What I arrive earlier than the check-in time?

Answer

You can still go straight to the resort. Upon arrival at the resort, the concierge will hold your luggage for you until your room is ready. You can enjoy all of the amenities the resort has to offer in the meantime. If you are arriving early, we recommend having clothing/swimsuits within reach, like a carry-on, to enjoy the beach or pool.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors.

Question

What is the weather like this time of year?

Answer

In May, Cancun is sunny and warm! The average temperature is around 90 degrees with a low of 72 degrees. Bring your sunscreen :)

Question

What does all inclusive mean?

Answer

The price you pay to book your room includes all food, drink, and entertainment during your stay. It's encouraged to bring cash to tip the servers, bartenders, and other resort workers who provide you with service. It can be a hassle getting change at the resort, so we recommend bringing cash in small denominations.

Question

When should I arrive and depart?

Answer

The events we are hosting are a welcome event (Thursday, April 30) and the ceremony/reception (Friday, May 1). You can choose your arrival and departure times that fit your needs best.
