It's finally happening!

Josh and Alex met in the summer of 2010. Alex lived in Texas and was visiting family that summer in Illinois. She met Josh through her cousin Hector.... or who everyone knows as "Gordo". The first few weeks were incredible to say the least. Alex was only 17 years old but she fell in love with Josh pretty quick! Eventually, the summer romance had to come to an end as Alex had to go back home to Texas. It was only 1 month later that Alex's cousins came to visit in Texas. Josh surprised Alex and tagged along for the visit! They were able to spend a couple days together but then Josh had to go back home to Illinois. Josh and Alex were so into each other that they couldn't let go, they continued to pursue their relationship for an entire year. Long distance calls and only 2 visits. You can imagine how hard it was, but the connection was there and that's all they needed. After over a year of the long distance relationship, Josh ended up moving to Texas to be with Alex. They lived there for a year and a half then eventually ended up moving to Illinois. It’s been the best decision they’ve ever made!

It was the weekend of Josh's 30th birthday celebration. They booked a hotel in the city of Chicago and planned to pregame there before heading out to a club. Josh and Alex's friends tricked Alex into making her pour champagne into glasses so that Josh could give his “big birthday toast”. While she did that, Josh grabbed the ring and put it in his back pocket. As Josh gave a toast to everyone there, he saved Alex for last. "Alex man, like she always plans everything out for me, I'm really bad with all that and everbody knows that. I couldn't do anything without her....she's like my best friend, my love. She does everything for me, looks out for me more than anybody else... so without wasting time, (gets on one knee) I wanna know if you wanna spend the rest of your life with me?" Alex, of course shocked, said "OMG" then she started crying and said YES! She jumped up and down as he put the ring on her finger, then hugged and kissed him. Best. Proposal. Ever.
