Question

When is the wedding?

Answer

Of course you already know that the wedding is October 19th of this year.. or at least you should by now.. c'mon man. But don't forget, the ceremony will start promptly at 3:30pm. However, the shuttle bus from the main lodge to the ceremony site will be departing once at 3:00pm and then a second and final time at 3:15pm.

Question

How will I get to and from the ceremony site?

Answer

The only way to get to the ceremony site is by shuttle bus which will leave from the main lodge. The shuttle bus will leave once at 3:00pm and a second and final time at 3:15pm. Please plan ahead. When the ceremony concludes the shuttle bus will make two more trips to return guests to the main lodge for cocktail hour.

Question

What do you wear to a Maine Wedding?

Answer

You should come in your very best Kennebec River Attire.

Question

What do you mean by Kennebec River Attire?

Answer

Oh you haven't heard, Kennebec River Attire includes: ties optional, blazer with matching dress pants or suit of any color (just not maroon or burgundy), button down dress shirt, shoes of your choice (just be prepared our ceremony will be on grass), pant length jumpsuit, dresses knee length or longer of any color (please avoid loud or busy patterns and not champagne or white). Because you will be in Maine during the fall; shawls, wraps, dress coats, or scarves are more than welcome. Bridesmaids and Groomsmen will be wearing all black.

Question

How about drinks?

Answer

Curtesy of the brides parents, beer wine and the two signature drinks will be available to our guests at no additional charge. If you have a thirst for any other beverages, the bar accepts cash and card and will be happy to mix something up for you.

Question

Where on Earth am I going?

Answer

Well, this is a place called Maine, there isn't much to do here but we have fun. It might look like and even feel like Canada but it's Maine. However Quebec City is only three hours north if you wanted to bring your passport.

Question

What will the weather be like in The Forks, Maine this time of year?

Answer

Historically in October it is a high of mid 50s and a low of 30s (Fahrenheit). However this is a Maine 50°F and with Maine wind which means those not living in Maine will believe it is much colder.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

For anyone available to make it out to The Forks the night prior to our wedding we plan to have a relaxing get together from 7:30-10:30 pm at Mountain Ash Cabin cabin at Northern Outdoors with snacks by the fire. But don't worry if you can't make it there will be plenty of fun at the wedding!

Question

Does this "Maine" have reception?

Answer

Well you see... service may go in and out but what does that matter when you're enjoying time with friends and family. But should it be needed (for those SnapChat streaks) the main lodge at Northern Outdoors where our reception will be held does have free Wi-Fi.

Question

Will I get to see a Moose?

Answer

Possibly but as the bride has not seen one yet if you do see one... just don't tell her (please)
