It all began on that darn app… I sent him a message attached to that picture of him looking handsome in the green long sleeve shirt… he drove to Baton Rouge to eat Superior Grill, and then ya girl fell in love! We met at the mall, and I somehow felt so comfortable already that I rode with him in his new truck to the restaurant. (Good thing my mom had my location because what was I thinking!!!) Things couldn’t have gone better; we talked, we laughed… truly it was such an amazing first date. Fast forward to the end of the date and he decides to tell me that for the next date I was going to have to drive the 2 hours to Franklin… Fast forward to that day~ I went to Franklin one weekend, and then find out that it was his cousin’s birthday party at a restaurant. So then I find out I’m actually meeting the family as well. *nervous nelly* In May we danced the night away under the porch lights, and decided this was our time. Moving on to July things became even more so real when Joshua asked me what my plans were now that I had graduated. Through faith and prayer, I made the biggest decision, at that moment, of my life. I moved out of my parents house!! As many of you know, this was not easy. I packed up and moved 2 hours away, AND I got a job as a 2nd grade math teacher. How the heck was I going to survive in a small town without Chick-Fil-A, Target, or my mom!! Anyways.. We created so many memories living in our, now, rent house. I found a tiny little red mut on the side of the road shaking in her 4 week old skinny bones… and I named her Ruby! We decided it was time for a fresh 2022 new year resolution to move into the house we could gratefully call a forever home. We began the remodel process, had many microwave meals, and too many nights under the stars to count. We raised chickens, bunnies, ducks, and geese. I had never seen 15 acres of spiders, snakes, and a bear!!!!! I went fishing every single week. I went on a hunt and shot my first deer. I got a gun for Christmas! The old Alexandra would have cried…. ‘Why not a purse?’ We started our very own small business called Frog Guru Baits LLC. Blood, sweat, and tears through the hands on remodel of our home. I tore down walls, and I put up new ones! I cut tile, laid floors, painted, flipped furniture, and more. I fell in love and knew I needed to do anything in my power to help our future unfold in this new home. As you know, WE GOT ENGAGED!! On 11/11/22 at 11:11pm, I said heck yes to JTB. <3 I cannot wait for our big day on November 18, 2023. I am so grateful for the family I have gained, and for each and every one of you for being a part of our forever. Screaming thank you for this thoughtful, loving, handy hard working, handsome hunk of a man I get to soon call my husband. With love, Alexandra & Joshua
