I met Joshua at a pool party his parents were first invited too because they are cooler than he is. I became his drunk sidekick that Alans used to give rides home too.

Alan is one of the most sincere people I know. Just like the cliche, he really would give you the shirt off of his back. We first met when we both became Police Recruits, and yes I have stories! Our bond started just like one might think…Alan couldn’t stand me because he thought I got away with everything! He eventually warmed up to me and throughout the years I have really come to know him, realizing how amazing and special he is to me. During a time when I felt I was at my worst, he did something not many did, he stuck around. Alan has shown me what true friendship is, what it means to be a good person, and best of all I love that crazy vein in his forehead every time he would do shots with us!

Friends since High School, we met in chorus, band and lastly swimming & diving. We've been able to maintain our close friendship throughout Josh's Josh's adventures out west and Betsy's eastern shenanigans. I am so thrilled and honored to be a part of Alan and Josh's big day (FINALLY) and cant wait to have a couple glasses of Turley and celebrate with everyone!

Moving somewhere new is scary. The scariest part is not knowing where you'll fit in and where your sense of belonging will come from. Josh was the reason I felt at home when I separated from the military, moved to Denver, started school, and started a new job at a liquor store. It might have been the the pink binder labeled "Beer Book," it could have been the weekly drag nights we'd have at the store, but without a doubt , it was those two magic words that told me Josh would become one of the most important people in my life. We'll save those words for the afterparty. Josh and Alan gave me the sense of belonging I was looking for in making me feel like I've been part of their family for years. And for that, I am eternally grateful.

I don’t remember meeting Josh but I do remember the first time I had a chance to get to know him. He was dating a friend and one night got separated from his group so I gave him a ride home. We started with light stuff but quickly started talking about what really mattered. From that night on we realized that, this one is my friend, and we’ve moved forward growing that friendship. In a way I’ve always known Josh since there’s no way to establish when we actually met! As the years pass, the friendship continues to grow. To see Josh grow and evolve through his relationship with Alan has been a boon to my cynical little heart. I’m blessed to have Josh as a friend, doubly that through Josh I get to be friends with Alan, and thrice blessed to stand with my best friends and witness their union.

I met Alan in 1996. Since then, he has remained a kind, steadfast friend. He's been a force for good in my life, and in the world. I could not be more grateful for our friendship, and could not be more excited for his future with Josh. I love you both, Congratulations.

So Alan was my man before I had a man! He was probably the happiest for me when I finally got married! I met Alan when we worked on the same shift. I remember asking a mutual friend on the team about, “Who’s that cutie?” He was like, "He’s not interested in you." Needless to say my dreams were crushed, but I gained a friendship for life!

Newly transplanted to AZ, I accepted an invite to a weekend BBQ. I packed up a roadie and was happy to meet new friends. Unbeknownst to me, everyone else was imbibing on frosty bottles of water. Ready to ghost my out, looked up and locked eyes with Josh. He too was unaware other people had weekend gatherings without the presence of alcohol. We spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool and sealed our relationship that night at Shotgun Betty's. From naps on the couch to nights out looking for our next relationship, we knew we would forever be friends when he left for Denver. While I hated to see him leave, meeting Alan for the first time when he drew eyebrows on a cat, I knew it was a love that would last.
