Mollie and Josh met in the most romantic way possible -- online. Their first date started off with a miscommunication. Although the plan was to enjoy breakfast and coffee, neither made the first move to make their food order, and by the time they each had departed, they realized it was almost noon and neither had eaten a thing. Luckily, their communication only improved from there. And just in time too, because soon after their first date (and making their relationship official) the pandemic hit. From March through July of 2020, their relationship only became stronger through hours of texting and video calls, Netflix party date nights watching Kingdom, and a careful in person visit for the 4th of July. During this time it became clear that they were in this together for the long haul. In 2022, they decided traveling from Brighton to Beacon Hill every other weekend was impractical. So they took an even bigger leap of faith-they moved in together. This led to a months long process of finding apartments, touring spaces that needed to be both cat friendly and have in-unit laundry (and enough space for Josh's twisty puzzle collection. For those who have seen it you know what we mean). Two years later, Josh became certain that Mollie was his partner, for now and for life. So while they planned a trip to Italy in April 2024, he worked with both a jeweler and his mother in secret. In the rolling hills of Tuscany, after a wonderful meal of pasta and wine and basking in the sunshine, they decided to spend their lives together. Since then, they have been making preparations to celebrate with everyone they love (even though the cat will stay at home).
