When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than May 1st! If you do not RSVP by then, you will not be allowed in.

4:00 — Guests may start arriving 5:00 — Doors close, ceremony begins 5:30 - 6:30 — Cocktail hour & Family photos 6:30 — Dinner is served 7:00 — Speeches and toasts from approved speakers 7:30 — Cake cutting 8:00 - 9:30 — Partying! 9:30 — Send off

What is the dress code?

Answer

We ask guests to arrive in semi-formal wear, keeping in mind the ceremony will be held outside in June. (Don’t worry, the reception will be held inside with AC!) Semi-formal wear means tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. If ladies would like to wear appropriate sun hats while outside, they may. Don’t forget sunscreen!

What’s on the menu?

Answer

During cocktail hour, there will be a small selection of hors d'oeuvres including an anti-pasto platter, and cucumber hearts with herbed cream cheese. Dinner will be buffet style, with the following selections, several of which will be gluten-free: Salads: Caesar salad & Mixed greens salad with feta and apple Entrees: Herb Encrusted Chicken Breast & Barbecue Meatballs Sides: Dinner rolls with butter, Herb roasted potatoes, & Green beans almondine For dessert we will have regular and gluten-free cake options. The main cake will be pink champagne with a Bavarian cream filling, and vanilla butter cake with a strawberry buttercream filling. The gluten free cake will be strawberry champagne cupcakes from Kyra’s bake shop, a certified celiac safe facility.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be a full bar available with wine, beer, and spirits, but it will not be hosted. Drinks will need to be paid for on an individual basis.

Our “registry” is actually a honeymoon fund! You can find the link to it on our website! We ask that if you wish to give us a gift, please donate to the fund, and do not bring any physical gifts to the wedding! Thank you!

Can I bring a date?

We ask that only the specific people we have given plus 1’s to bring their date. Otherwise, only people who’s names are on the invitation envelopes are invited.

What is parking like?

There will be ample parking at the Lakeside Gardens venue!

Any other information I should know?

Answer

- Please do not bring pets or animals! - There will be swans in the lake and sometimes on the grounds. They can be territorial at times, so please do not get too close! Also the venue has requested that people do not try to feed the swans. - The ceremony will have open seating, except for the first row. During dinner there will be a seating arrangement, please take a look and sit at your assigned table. - Please do not bring any outside food, beverage, or alcohol onto the premises. - Please closely supervise any children you may bring. - Please be respectful of the lake and flowerbeds. - Smoking is not allowed indoors. There will be ashtrays provided on the south and west patios. Please do not bring or smoke any marijuana on the premises.
