FAQs

Question

When should I plan to arrive and leave Charleston?

Answer

We encourage guests to plan to arrive on Wednesday or Thursday and head home sometime over the weekend. Plan travel that works best for you – there’s no required arrival or departure date.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Black tie optional! We'd love to see you dressed to the nines for our New Year's Eve celebration. Think formal gowns, tuxedos, dark suits, and cocktail dresses. Dress up, have fun with it, and ring in the new year in style! ✨

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

To the Reception: Guests are kindly asked to arrange their own transportation to the venue. Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are widely available in Charleston. From the Reception: We've got you covered for the ride home! We'll have transportation running at the end of the evening with drop-offs at the downtown hotel blocks. An earlier departure option will also be available for those who need it. More details to come as we get closer! If you're staying outside of our hotel blocks, we especially encourage you to arrange a ride in advance - NYE is one of the busiest nights of the year and availability can be limited!

Question

Will everyone attend the ceremony?

Answer

We'll be exchanging vows in a small, intimate ceremony prior to the reception. We can't wait to gather everyone for the reception and ring in the New Year together!

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

The reception begins at 6:30 PM, so please plan to arrive between 6:00-6:30 PM. If you're one of our ceremony guests, you'll receive separate details about arrival time closer to the date.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Since we’re celebrating on a Thursday, we’re looking to plan an optional, informal get-together over the weekend for anyone still in town. Nothing formal – just a little extra time to spend together. Details to come!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

No.

Question

What about plus ones?

Answer

If you have a plus one, it'll be listed on your invitation! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us directly.
