We recommend staying in an Airbnb or vrbo in Tahoma or Homewood, which are closest to the venue. Truckee, our favorite little mountain town, is a 45 minute drive from the Hellman Erhman Mansion and has wonderful accommodations as well. Tahoe strictly regulates short term rental homes on airbnb and vrbo, if you see one you like, book it quickly
