How God Brought Us Together

Psa 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

During a time when I was not seeking a wife, but was in the will of God day by day, lo and behold I found a jewel! (Pro 31:10) - Josh First of all, we give thanks to the Lord for His wisdom and sovereign guidance in leading us to each other (Psa 37:23) Also, we are thankful for the blessing from spiritual authority in both of our lives that God has honored! (Heb 13:17) When things are done in accordance to God’s Word, He will bless It. (Deut 7:9) The more we get to know one another the more we realize how perfect God’s will is. (Eph 5:17) It’s humbling to think the God of heaven and earth is the very one who is leading us and lighting the pathway. (Psa 119:105) Time after time, almost daily, we found ourselves in the same scriptures, Bible stories, and passages with God laying the same thoughts and burdens on our heart. (Phi 2:2) Then to top It off, God confirms It through the same exact messages and teachings we are both receiving at church, Bible college or those around us! (Acts 20:28, 1 Pet 5:2) Through the reading of God’s Word, prayer, and council It has been astonishing to see how fluid, peaceful, and perfect it has been. (Isa 26:3, Phi 4:7) This is a great relief and comfort to each of us since our relationship was not founded on emotions and manufactured love by having common interests and “having fun.” (Gal 6:8) The foundation of our relationship was on our desires to serve the Lord and please Him in our lives by following His commandments and surrendering our lives to do His will - wherever, whenever, to whoever. (Mat 7:24, Rom 12:1,2) Since then, we’ve been able to enjoy the time spent together without doubt or concern for the “harder conversations” later on that many will compromise on for the sake of unity; we had already found delight in being equally yoked by sharing mutual beliefs and convictions. (2 Cor 6:14) With perfect peace, blessing, and guidance we both believe it is God's perfect will for us to be married and live a fruitful, Christ-centered life together. (Psa 127)
