We met in 2019 through OkCupid. It was marketed as the best online dating app for singles to find a match based on who you really are and what you love, and we guess that's true! After just a few days of chatting, Josh drove out to Temecula for our first dinner date. Now, Temecula at night isn’t exactly what you’d call poppin’, so Yves chose Promenade Temecula as the perfect setting (only option during that time *wink* *wink*). Thoughtful, right? Apparently Josh thought so too, because one date turned into another, and another… and well, here we are! They say opposites attract, and we’re living proof - Josh loves hiking and being outdoors, while Yves prefers staying cozy inside, away from the sun, bugs, and unnecessary sweating. Despite our differences, one thing is crystal clear: we love each other - so much so, we’re tying the knot soon!

Josh proposed on June 18, 2025, at the Blue Bayou Restaurant in Disneyland, after secretly planning the whole thing for an entire year. He had to be extra sneaky about it too, because Yves, being the curious (and slightly neurotic) one, has a habit of rummaging through Josh’s stuff the moment he suspects a surprise might be in the works. Josh was so careful that he even looped in Yves’ mom to help keep everything under wraps, and somehow, Yves didn’t suspect a thing. To top it all off, Josh enlisted the help of our friend Sean, who flew all the way from Maine to California to capture the big moment. Yves was completely caught off guard when Josh gave a heartfelt speech, got down on one knee, and asked him to marry him.
