FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Can’t wait to celebrate together—please let us know if you can join us by October 5th, 2026!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 2:30 pm, so we’d love for you to arrive by 2:00 pm to mingle and get comfortable.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’d love for our guests to dress in formal attire. For women, a knee-length or longer dress is ideal—no need to go full gown unless you’d like to. For men, we love the look of a suit, but any formal attire works perfectly!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Invitations are addressed to everyone who’s invited. If it’s just your name, that means we weren’t able to extend a plus one this time—but don’t worry, we’ve made sure you’ll know plenty of people so you’ll have great company all night!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

If you have any food allergies, please let us know—we want everyone to enjoy the celebration safely and happily!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

Heinz Chapel is just a short 5-minute walk from the reception venue. Unless it rains, we won’t be providing transportation—so you can enjoy a nice stroll through Oakland!

Question

Where can we park for the Ceremony?

Answer

Reserved parking will be available during our access time on S. Bellefield Avenue (between Forbes & Fifth). This lane will be closed to traffic and supervised by a police officer. Please note: parking is only available during this time—cars left afterward may be ticketed or towed. Other Parking Options Garage parking is available at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall (4141 Fifth Ave), pending availability. Metered street parking is also available nearby. Accessible Parking Limited accessible parking (about 4 cars) is available next to the Chapel during the ceremony, with step-free access, an elevator, and an accessible restroom.
