Flight
There are flights to Budapest from every part of the world. If you have a layover, we recommend London as there are flights from both Heathrow and Stansted. If you'd like to book a shuttle or a taxi to your accommodation, just let us know and we'll help you with websites, apps and phone numbers.
Travel Note
Public transport is quite extensive and it is the easiest way to navigate around the city. You can get a weekly ticket from the machines placed at the airport or any metro station, it costs around £12. This way you won't have to worry about getting tickets every time you'd like to go somewhere. Bus 100E runs between the airport and Deák Ferenc tér and costs £2.50 (one-way). From here you can get to your accommodation by tram, bus or metro. You can also arrange shuttles from the airport, they are not expensive and you can share the cost. Licensed Budapest taxis are yellow (with yellow license plates) and have their prices indicated on their sides. If you need to use a taxi, always call one on the phone or through an app, as it is very easy to get ripped of if you just catch one on the street. The closest thing to Uber is Bolt which can be ordered through their app.
