There we both stood standing in front of the sanctuary doors, I was given a different colored lanyard than everyone else so naturally the first thing out of Joshua's mouth is "Why do you have the different colored lanyard?" Me of course trying to be clever responds with a grin "Because I'm special". Clearly I had no clue who I was going against since Joshua responded "Yeah, special ed." Immediately my face went blank and I introduced myself. The rest of the service is filled with witty banter and side eyed grins. I knew this man was special but who knew just how special he'd be to me. He became my best friend and now he will be my husband. So blessed to do life with this sweet & sarcastic man.
