FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sarah Mientka and Josh Bierdz
Question

Do I have to come for all of the days?

Answer

No! Unless you are designated to stay on the ranch, or the nearby house (you know who you are) you do not need to come for all 3 nights (4 days). That being said, we do have many fun large group activities, think of this as a family and friend reunion retreat, with a wedding to top it off :)

Question

Can I bring along my little one?

Answer

Yes!! We are expecting to have a bountiful number of kids in attendance (majority of them are below the age of 4!).

Question

Drink Water!!

Answer

The best way to avoid altitude sickness is to drink more water than you think. The Steel Horse Ranch is located at roughly 8,000ft, Denver is a mile high, both locations are considered high altitude.

Question

What attire should I pack? What will the weather be like?

Answer

September boasts mild end of summer temps avg. 65-70°, with evening and nights ranging from 45-50°. We will be outdoors often, other than your rustic formal-wear for the wedding day, bring active outdoor style layers so that you can sustain a range of weather from hot to cold. Warm sunny weather and breezy cool evenings. Bring a swimsuit for the mineral hot springs (if you fancy).

Question

Where can I note my food allergies?

Answer

You can note your food allergies on the schedule page associated with each "event's" RSVP. OR You can reach out to Josh or Sarah directly.

Question

Food/drink for additional days?

Answer

As noted in the schedule and RSVPs, food and drink will be covered for specific meals for specific days. We also plan to stock the ranch with additional snacks and drinks! We will do our best to have plenty of options available but you're also welcome to stop off at a grocery store (particularly if you have specific dieting habits/food sensitivities). The reception day will have alcoholic drinks provided and we'll aim to stock up extra for the other days but you are welcome to BYOB as well.

Question

Extra tips and considerations

Answer

Unfortunately there are no transportation services other than what is self-arranged as guests are staying in a wide variety of lodgings so please drink responsibly Make sure to bring sunglasses and hats! Avoid wearing stilettos or foot-wear that are difficult to walk in on uneven terrain around the ranch site
