Josh is from Jackson, and Sarah Lambert is from Tupelo. They were both raised in loving households. Both attended Ole Miss where they were very involved. It was a time of preparation. They waited and prayed for a love like the one they share.

Their story is proof that God's timing is always best. They had all the mutual friends possible in college, but it was not until Sarah Lambert moved to Jackson to take a job at Children's of Mississippi that their paths cross. Josh and Sarah Lambert met at a Pinelake young adults hangout night.

After meeting, Josh and Sarah Lambert continued to hangout with friends at game nights. Two nights before Josh asked Sarah Lambert out on a first date, she was driving and saw a shooting star. The Lord immediately recalled a prayer she had prayed in college to find contentment in singleness and use those years well and to show her when it was time to open her heart again with a shooting star. From the very beginning the two knew there was something special.

Plans were made. Celebrations were on the horizon. But Josh and Sarah Lambert like to keep life exciting. The day before the proposal Sarah Lambert woke up extremely ill. She pulled it together for just enough time for Josh to propose in a place that has always been special to him, by the "Ebenezer rock" at the Thigpen's home. That night and the rest of the week Josh got some good practice with the vow in sickness and in health as he cared for Sarah Lambert through an IV, bags of fluid, and lots of Zofran.

So much excitement for fresh starts. Josh and Sarah Lambert just bought a new house that they can't wait to make a home. Both have new jobs they are excited to step into. Most importantly they are so ready to be married and be a family devoted to serving the Lord and loving each other & other people well.
