Then after they moved in together I was able to see how they were able to grow their relationship together. From what I have witnessed I have never seen two people better suited for each other. Hello, my name is Thomas I've know Josh since around the 3rd grade. I met him through another friend of mine but, I really got to know him and Rachael in junior year of high-school. Josh has always been the one to include people and I remember thats just what he did for me. Always a kind soul with a goofy heart. I’ve known Rachael since kindergarten, and living down the street from eachother we spent many years walking to the bus stop together, bouncing on the trampoline, and introducing eachother to new friends. Rachael and I have seen eachother grow through many pivotal years, and Im so grateful life brought us back together after highschool. Rachael introduced me to Josh when they were living in their first apartment together. Josh and I clicked instantly, mostly over a shared appreciation for late nights and jokes we wouldnt repeat in front of our parents. Over time, Josh and I opened up to eachother, and he quickly became a person I could lean on for support. I will never get tired of our spirited debates, our friday nights after a long week, or holidays I wouldn’t want to spend with anyone else. I am overjoyed to celebrate my beautiful daughter, Rachael, and her wonderful partner, Josh. I still remember the day I discovered I was pregnant with Rachael—my heart soared with happiness at the thought of welcoming another little miracle into our family. And then she arrived, making an entrance like no other—born just six minutes after we reached the hospital! From that very first moment, Rachael captured everyone’s hearts. Rachael has always been extraordinary—brilliantly funny, endlessly compassionate, and the kind of person whose love is boundless and forgiving. She will go to the ends of the earth for the people she cares about, and she loves with her whole heart. Now, a little story about Josh. I first met him on Rachael’s first day at Einstein’s. Hello friends and family, I cannot fully express the joy I feel watching my little girl — because Rachael will always be my little girl — grow up and meet her life partner and true love. Rachael and I have shared one of the closest bonds a father and daughter could ever have, and I cherish every moment of it. From Friday movie nights when you needed cheering up, to weekends filled with friends sleeping over, playing music together in the basement, and my little girl sitting on my lap in every movie theater for the first fourteen years of your life — these are memories I hold close to my heart forever. One of the most defining moments for me as your father happened when you were just a baby. You had a fever and experienced a seizure, and your mom handed you to me and said, “Fix her.” In that moment, nothing else in the world mattered except taking care of you. I held you, got you into the ambulance, and we rushed to the ER — and thankfully everything turned out okay. That day became even more meaningful because it was when we started the song that would forever become “our song.” Every time we hear it, we are reminded of the special love between a father and daughter, and it will always mean the world to me.
