Josh and Paula first crossed paths in 2018 on the East Coast in Arlington, Virginia, through mutual friends in the restaurant industry. Though they started as acquaintances, it wasn’t until three years later and 3,000 miles apart during the pandemic that their connection deepened into something truly special. While Josh was in Seattle and Paula in Arlington, they began bonding over their shared love for the outdoors and long conversations about family, values, and life experiences. When Paula visited Seattle to run a half marathon, the spark between them grew into something undeniable. Soon after Josh visited the D.C. area, what began as a long-distance friendship blossomed into a relationship. Though being apart was challenging, their cross-country trips and facetime marathons helped them grow closer, learning about each other in ways only distance could allow. Fast forward nearly two years of planning visits and countless adventures together, Josh proposed to Paula on the breathtaking Nā Pali Coast in Hawaii, after completing a 22-mile backpacking trek along the stunning coastline. Now, happily engaged and living together in Seattle with their dog Griffey, Josh and Paula can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with you all at their wedding!
