the wait is finally over

Olivia and Josh both lived on the 10th floor of Travers Hall at The College of New Jersey for their freshman year. Josh became a part of Olivia's friend group over the first few months and they got much closer. Toward the end of the fall semester, Josh decided to ask Olivia to the ultimate frisbee team's formal. Late one night, as Olivia was getting ready to go to bed, Josh texted to ask her to meet him in the hallway outside her room. Olivia immediately got nervous but met him and agreed to go to the party! It was the first of nine (yes, nine) frisbee formals they would attend together.

Olivia isn't much of a jewelry-wearer so Josh knew that she was going to have to see some rings on her finger before he could commit to one. He found an online list of the best engagement rings in Boston and Olivia chose Laura Preshong as the place she wanted to visit. She fell in love with the shop and ultimately chose a design and diamond she loved. At this point, it shifted to Josh's court. Outside of Olivia's view, Josh finalized the ring purchase and pick-up. He set up a plan to bring the ring to New Jersey to show Olivia's family and to propose the next weekend along the Charles River in Cambridge, overlooking the Boston city skyline (their favorite spot). In classic Olivia fashion, she saw the whole thing coming but was able to play along. Josh and Olivia parked near the spot and walked over and after a little bit, Josh got down on one knee and Olivia said yes! After a hug and a kiss, Josh pointed out to Olivia the surprise photographer he had set up to capture the moment. Luckily, the photographer captured Olivia's face and it was priceless! Josh was able to pull off at least one surprise for Olivia for this moment. They took some photos along the river and then started calling friends and family to share the news!
