Clemson FCA hosts a mission trip each year to a different city, and in spring 2024, the city was Cincinnati, Ohio. Josh and Noelle were in sister groups and met for the first time on the University of Cincinnati's campus, quickly becoming friends. Throughout the rest of the year, Josh and Noelle would have several intentional conversations at FCA or whenever they ran into each other, building on this friendship through laughter and encouragement. In the fall of 2024, on a random day at All In Coffee Shop, one of Josh and Noelle's favorite places, they ran into each other once again, but this time it was with a different interaction. Josh was sitting at a table reading his Bible when Noelle approached him and asked him how he was doing. Josh expressed how he was battling this call to ministry and his desire to be a Fuse Pastor at Newspring Church. After this conversation concluded, Noelle sat down with her friends but felt the Lord tell her to pray for Josh and his future. Noelle wrote down several verses and prayed over them for Josh, then feeling the nudge to text them to him. However, she did not have his number, so she consulted the Clemson University student directory, found his number, and texted him a long paragraph of Bible verses and prayerful encouragement. In Noelle's mind, this was just her obeying the Lord's call to intentionally encourage her friend, but it led to further conversation over text and their first coffee date the next day. They talked for hours about everything, realizing that this friendship could lead to something more. After a couple of dates, Josh came back from a FCA missions scouting trip and asked Noelle to be his girlfriend on October 15, 2024. It was clear from the beginning that the Lord was blessing their relationship, and they continued to grow together, building on their foundation of intentional conversations and seeking the Lord. On October 25, 2025, Josh asked Noelle to marry him, and she of course said yes. They are so excited to start this new chapter of their life and experience the Lord's provision and love in a new way!
