As much as we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this advance notice means you’re able to let your hair down and celebrate with us on the day!
We’ve reserved rooms and villas at both Hotel Casa Bocana and Montecito, with preferred rates available for our guests. For more details, please visit the Travel + Accommodation tab. While there’s no official cut-off date, we recommend booking as soon as possible, as November marks the start of high season when many villa owners return to Huatulco, limiting availability. If you prefer other accommodations, Huatulco offers a variety of options to suit any budget. Feel free to contact the MyHuatulco team (gaby@myhuatulcovacation.com) for assistance with finding alternatives
Yes! We’re kicking off the celebrations with a Welcome Pool Party on Monday, November 3. We recommend arriving in Huatulco before this date so you have time to settle in and join us as we start the festivities!
We know Halloween falls on the beginning of our wedding week, but if you have the opportunity, we highly recommend arriving before November 2nd, as this is Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in Mexico, a deeply meaningful and vibrant celebration. Día de los Muertos is a time to honor and remember loved ones who have passed, with families creating altars, decorating graves, and offering food, flowers, and special items to guide spirits back to the living. The tradition is filled with colourful decorations, beautiful marigold flowers, candles, and sugar skulls, creating a festive and reflective atmosphere. Oaxaca, known for its rich cultural heritage, is one of the best places to experience this incredible celebration.
The wedding ceremony will be on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 and will take place on the picturesque beach of La Bocana, just steps from our villa, Villa Vidu. The reception will follow on the rooftop terrace of Hotel Casa Bocana. If you’re staying at Hotel Casa Bocana or Montecito, Villa Vidu is only a short 2–5 minute walk away. For guests staying at other accommodations, we can help arrange transportation once all your accommodations are confirmed. For further details, please refer to the map on the Location page.
We’re excited to embrace the vibrant spirit of Dulce Vita and encourage colourful island black tie attire for our celebration. For inspiration, please visit the Attire tab for suggestions for both the Welcome Pool Party and the Wedding. As the reception will be held on the beach, ladies, please keep this in mind when selecting your footwear!
Yes, we are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies. As we get closer to the date, we’ll send an email with RSVP details for the reception, where you can select your meal and specify any dietary needs. Rest assured, we’ll have options available!
If you're staying at Montecito, we highly recommend taking advantage of the Chef services, which offers three delicious meals per day for around $70 USD per person. The beachclub also has an oceanfront restaurant! For those staying at Hotel Casa Bocana, you’re in for a treat! The à la carte restaurant serves everything from savory waffles with guacamole at breakfast to scrambled eggs with Mamá Chelo’s homemade chile pasilla sauce. And don’t miss the fresh pastries, freshly squeezed juice, and some of the best coffee you’ve had in a long time. Keep in mind this is a restaurant on site and is not all inclusive. Be sure to check the Wedding Line-up (coming closer to the date) for the special events we have planned throughout the week!
Please RSVP by June 1st, 2025 or sooner!
Yes, of course, it’s safe! Huatulco is known for its welcoming, small-town feel, and low crime rate, making it a very safe destination for visitors. To get into Huatulco Downtown, simply ask the concierge at your accommodation to call a taxi for you. The ride costs around $100 MXN ($7 CAD). The bride herself has taken taxis into town and even ventured out on her own to take a spin class—she's here to tell the tale! Huatulco’s laid-back atmosphere and friendly locals make it a very secure and easy place to explore.
In the first week of November, Huatulco enjoys warm and sunny weather with average daytime temperatures around 29-32°C (85-90°F) and cooler evenings in the 24-26°C (mid-70s°F). Rain is rare, so you can expect plenty of sunshine—perfect for beachside celebrations!
Your presence is a present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to the bride and groom, we're happy to help and would love to answer your questions!
