Located in Moline, IL, Quad Cities International Airport is the most conveniently-located. Though further away (and perhaps less expensive), travelers may choose to fly into Peoria (IL), Cedar Rapids (IA), Rockford (IL), Chicago, or Des Moines.
That one is easy! The Grand Gazebo at Parker Run Vineyards 1120 330th Street New Windsor, IL 61465 https://www.parkerrun.com Parker Run Vineyards is located approximately 24 miles south of downtown Moline, Illinois.
The ceremony will start promptly at 4:00 p.m. and seating may be limited, so please plan accordingly.
We want everyone to be comfortable, but cocktail/semi-formal attire is preferred.
The reception will take place in the Big Red Barn, which is a short walk from the Grand Gazebo. Local transportation (a.k.a. GOLF CARTS) will be available for persons with mobility challenges. The reception will start at approximately 6:00 p.m., following the wedding party's photography session.
Nope! Pick a seat at any table and it is yours! We encourage you to sit with people you don't know, so that by the end of the night, you WILL know them! Please note that a few tables will be reserved at the request of the wedding party, so kindly refrain from sitting at a table marked "Reserved".
Outside food and beverages are strictly prohibited. Food (including vegetarian options) will be provided, and soft drinks and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase from the full service bar. Complimentary beer, wine, and charcuterie will be made available during the wedding party's photography session.
We love children and have selected a few to participate in our day; however, to allow all of our guests - including parents - to fully relax and enjoy the evening, we have chosen to make our reception an adults-only event.
While we'd normally say "the more, the merrier," if you are not attending with your spouse or significant other, we respectfully ask that you limit this occasion to one adult guest.
We have worked out group rates with The Axis Moline Hotel (Moline), Hyatt Place (East Moline), and Holiday Inn (Rock Island), and you may call or book your stay online (please see our Travel page for details). There are many hotels in the Quad Cities area, so please feel free to book at the hotel of your choosing if not at one of those we have recommended.
Shuttle service - provided by Act II Transportation - will be available from The Axis Moline Hotel only. Please note this service is not affiliated with The Axis Moline Hotel. The shuttle will make TWO (2) pickups before the wedding. The first will be at 1:30 p.m.; the second will be at approximately 2:30 p.m. (we're talking about a bus, so it could be closer to 2:45 p.m. considering it's a 30-minute drive each way). The shuttle will make THREE (3) pickups from Parker Run Vineyards after the wedding. The first will be at 8:00 p.m.; the second at 9:30 p.m.; and the final at 11:00 p.m. PLEASE NOTE: This shuttle is strictly limited to a maximum of 39 seated passengers per trip, and many of our out-of-town visitors arriving by plane might be without a car. Priority should be given to senior citizens and/or those with mobility issues. Standing is not permitted. Also, please note that the shuttle WILL NOT WAIT for stragglers, so please plan accordingly! * The Axis Moline Hotel is 3.6 miles west of Hyatt Place East Moline, and 3.8 miles east of Holiday Inn Rock Island.
The shuttle will only be picking up from and dropping off at The Axis Moline Hotel. It will not make any other stops or detours, so plan (and pee!) accordingly!
Not a dime! The shuttle is free to our guests. Tipping your driver is greatly appreciated. As a reminder, shuttle service is available on a first come, first served basis. Priority should be given to seniors, those with mobility challenges, and out-of-towners without cars.
Oof - let's not find out! Parker Run Vineyards is situated in a remote area and cabs/ride share services are unlikely to be available at that hour (if at all). Guests will be responsible for arranging their own transportation if the shuttle is missed.
Of course! Parking (gravel parking lot) is available and is conveniently located adjacent to the Grand Gazebo and the Big Red Barn. Overnight parking is permitted, but kindly note that you will be responsible for retrieving your car on Sunday.
Be prepared for anything. September weather in northern Illinois is generally warm and pleasant with varying amounts of precipitation, but the Upper Midwest is no stranger to random hot or cold days (or all four seasons in the span of a weekend) toward the end of the month. Check out the weather ahead of time and be prepared!
