To protect our immunocompromised and elderly guests and for our own peace of mind, we ask that our guests take a COVID test as close to the wedding as possible. Please reach out to us if you need rapid tests and we are happy to provide them. If you are not feeling well, we request that you please stay home. We really appreciate your cooperation!!
Our reception venue is the National Aviary, which is the country's only indoor nonprofit zoo dedicated to birds! So yes, there will be lots of birds at our wedding, but you won't have to be dodging birds while you eat. All of the indoor exhibits will be open for your enjoyment during our cocktail hour. Dinner and dancing will take place in a separate event space at the Aviary. If you would rather avoid our feathered friends, you can simply stay in the cocktail and reception rooms, which are separate from the exhibits.
While we really wanted to include everyone in our day, unfortunately, we are unable to do so because of limited space. With the exception of children in the wedding party, our wedding reception will be a twenty-one and over event.
We recommend that guests wear cocktail or formal attire. Please wear something that makes you feel great and that you are ready to party in! If you want to match the wedding aesthetic, we recommend rich pinks, reds, or greens (but this is not required).
The information for the hotel blocks and other lodging options is available on the "Travel Information" page.
Yes, both venues have parking lots that should accommodate all of our guests. For the ceremony, please enter the parking lot from the entrance closer to Bower Hill Road. You can park on the side or in the back of the church. Handicap parking is available on the street in front of the church or in the parking lot with the Mt. Lebanon sign. Parking at the National Aviary is available in the lot behind the main building.
Of course! Please note your restriction in the RSVP.
We will have some recommendations for out of town guests soon on how to handle the gap. If you feel like having the early ceremony makes it hard to attend both events, we are happy to have you at whatever you can attend.
