FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code? Are there any colors I should avoid wearing?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting a semi-formal dress code for our evening. Wear whatever color you would like, but please do not wear colors typically reserved for the bride (i.e., white, cream, ivory, etc) or taupe.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are fully outdoors.

Question

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Answer

Our ceremony will be taking place in a grassy area, so please keep this in mind when choosing your footwear.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 9th.

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

Yes! Your presence at our wedding is a gift in itself, but if you feel inclined to give more, please contribute to our registry located on our website. We are registered at Amazon, Crate & Barrel, Target, as well as cash funds on Zola.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Yes, the wine, beer, and champagne are on us! However, per Oregon liquor laws, there is a zero tolerance policy for byob.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony (no phones or cameras). The greatest gift you can give us is to be fully present as we say our I do's. We have hired professionals to capture this moment for us, so please allow them to do their best work. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like. Please use our hashtag #ITheeWood to share your photos!

Question

Can I Smoke?

Answer

Though both the ceremony and reception will be outside, July is the beginning of 'fire season' in Oregon. Yes, that is a real thing. Additionally, our venue is considered historical property, so smoking is strictly prohibited. This includes e-cigerettes and vaping.
